I didn’t have glasses or braces (I got the latter in like high school wth) when I was small, but for the half of my childhood I spent in New York, I always got made fun of because I was Asian. Talk about things you can’t help!
Kids made fun of me because of the Japanesey lunches I used to bring, and then after about seven months I cried to my mum and asked her to make me regular peanut butter jelly sandwiches like the rest of the kids.
And then, because my primary school was predominantly white, when we played one of those like “American Girl” type house games, I was always the maid.
And then kids wouldn’t want to hold hands with me when we did games in circles and had to hold hands because they didn’t like my ‘yellowness’.BUT GUESS WHAT THE COMPUTERS Y’ALL ARE LOOKING AT ARE PROBABLY (UNLESS IT’S A MAC) DESIGNED BY AND INVENTED BY ASIANS SO WHO’S LAUGHING NOW~
Just saying. Childhood is 37% rainbows and sunshine and 63% bitterness.
I got made fun of when I was a little kid because I liked wearing ponytails (they called me Chihuahua because of it. CHIHUAHUAS DON’T EVEN HAVE PONYTAILS WTF) and because I liked playing ADVENTURE with the weird boys in the class. Also, because I had this skin allergy thing going on that literally scarred parts of my skin for life. The thing is, CHILDREN ARE FUCKING VICIOUS.
