A movie long overdue: I wanted to see this one after this duo’s performance during the Oscars, JUST for the music… I watched it last night and ended up liking the story as well. The filmmaking is so rough that it becomes heartfelt. It’s also, probably, the most “authentic”-looking musical ever made.

Might sound cheesy, but stories like this are what I live for.

And it’s a bit odd how people from the same parts of the world sometimes have the same idiosyncrasies. My old high school had a foreign exchange student from the Czech Republic named Lucie and we became very close friends. The girl from the movie actually moved and talked the so very like her that it made me miss Lucie. Note to self: E-mail her.
